Rebuilding Together: Hoodsly’s Ongoing Mission to Aid Hurricane Helene Victims

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, the devastation across Western North Carolina has been unimaginable. The communities we love have been left in dire need, but the incredible outpouring of support from all of you has been nothing short of inspiring. Your donations continue to pour in, and we are in awe of your generosity and kindness.

Our reach is expanding every day as we hear about more isolated communities and families in urgent need of medical supplies, baby essentials, food, and water. With your help, we are identifying new areas that have not yet been contacted, and the funds we receive are being deployed almost in real time to make sure these people get the help they desperately need. Your ongoing support, and the information you’ve shared about friends and family in need, is guiding our mission to reach those who have no choice but to wait for help. But thanks to you, we’re not waiting, we’re taking action. Thank you for the love and support you continue to pour into our mountain communities. We couldn’t do this without you.

What a week it has been. Our Hoodsly team has spent days on ground support loading any helicopter that would allow us to provide goods. Many people in need received support. Hospitals without medicine received essential goods, babies without formula and diapers are being fed, and the water that is in dire need throughout these communities was delivered.

We are exhausted, but we are inspired. In every town we touch down, we witness neighbors standing together, supporting one another with endless resolve. It’s this community spirit that helps us see light at the end of the tunnel. Basic needs are being met, and more people have access to food, water, and medicine. The air traffic over the mountains is astounding, with pilots and volunteers delivering supplies in exceptional numbers. The impact is real.

But we’re not done. There are still countless families who need our help. We ask that you continue to share our mission, follow our journey, and contribute where you can. We’re in this for the long haul, and these communities need to know that help isn’t going anywhere. Their stores will reopen, their houses and roads will be rebuilt, but recovery takes time. And we’re here for as long as they need us.

We are absolutely humbled by the support that continues to bless our mission. Your donations are not just numbers; they are the fuel that keeps helicopters, planes, and trucks running. They’re filling gas cans, carrying generators, and providing essential equipment to the frontline workers who are pushing the limits of human effort to get the job done. These men and women are the true heroes, working through the night—cutting, digging, and clawing their way through the destruction to help those in need. This campaign is not about us. It’s about them and the lives they are saving.

As the funds grow, so does the attention on our campaign, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. Every dollar raised is being deployed to the areas in Western North Carolina that need it most. 100% of all donations are going directly to the Hurricane victims. We are also deeply grateful to Premier Land Development, whose financial contributions and on-the-ground assistance have been vital. Their helicopters and team have helped us reach remote areas where people are waiting for help. Additionally, the monetary generosity of Zline and Discount Kitchen Direct has been invaluable, providing resources for families in need.

If you or someone you know has been directly impacted by the recent storm and is in need of financial assistance, we are here to help.
